Overview

Cost Accounting Recruiters is working with a large global healthcare products manufacturer to place a Senior Manager, Multi-Site Manufacturing Finance (Controller) at a plant in the Saint Paul, MN area. The seat belongs to a roughly $3 billion division that expects double-digit growth for several years on the back of a deep pipeline of new products. You would carry site controllership locally while supervising finance at two additional manufacturing locations, with combined revenue of about $800 million across the three. Think of the title as understated: the scope is genuinely multi-site, and this is an organization that is conservative about retitling to match responsibility.

Role depth

You own the books locally and financial leadership across all three plants, with the weight on product costing, absorption costing from raw material through finished goods, a frequent forecast cadence, and hitting the number you called. Routine ledger entries, payables and standard balance sheet accounting live in shared service centers, so the day-to-day here is FP&A and business partnership: forecasting site performance, pulling cost out, and lifting gross margin each year.

Expect to be in the daily tiered meetings, shoulder to shoulder with the site leadership team, including the operations site director, quality leadership, supply chain and continuous improvement. This location also handles procurement on behalf of other plants, which hands this controller more supply chain finance exposure than a typical single-plant job. Performance gets presented with the site director to the VP of Operations and division finance leadership, who want a clean read on results and the plan behind them.

Direct reports

People stay on this team and morale is healthy. Expectations get spelled out and then you are trusted to deliver, with a typical day running roughly eight or nine to five and nobody looking over your shoulder.

Software and ERP

SAP runs at all three locations, and they are looking for power-user depth rather than casual exposure.

Travel and remote

This is an on-site role because the work lives with the site leadership team each day. Once you have your arms around the business, a remote day each week works, and they flex case by case for family and personal commitments.

Benefits

The package carries a 20% target bonus plus annual long-term incentive grants of $45,000, vesting a third per year across three years. The previous incumbent moved up after three years to lead another plant in the network, which is the sort of progression this division offers people who perform.

Location

The site sits on the east side of the Saint Paul metro, with easy reach into the whole Twin Cities market and one of the deepest healthcare products talent pools anywhere. The surrounding suburbs are family friendly, with well-regarded schools and housing costs that compare favorably to either coast.
